Essentia Health reached an exciting milestone recently, surpassing 100,000 virtual visits. In March, we launched this service, which allows our care teams to see patients in their homes. Since each face-to-face appointment at Essentia involves contact with a minimum of five other people, that means approximately 600,000 fewer face-to-face contacts have taken place, thereby reducing the spread of COVID-19.
