⚠️ PACIFIC NORTHWEST 9.0 MEGAQUAKE RISK The Cascadia Subduction Zone is a 1,000 km megathrust fault off the coasts of Vancouver Island, Washington, Oregon and northern California. Geological records from drowned forests, sand sheets and offshore cores show that Cascadia has produced many great earthquakes over the last 10,000 years, with full-margin ruptures repeating on the order of hundreds of years.
