When I’m working on fronting and I’m trying to help a child say ‘k’ or ‘g’ at the beginning of words, they revert to ‘t’ or ‘d’ a lot. I’ve found that moving the final ‘k’ or ‘g’ to an intervocalic position and then fading the initial vowel can be an easier/faster way to get an accurate velar in initial position.
