I have a medium-sized champion blower on my forge, and despite the noise it makes it is one of the smoothest blowers I've ever used. Though much smaller than a Champion 400, it is smoother than most 400s I've tried, and the airflow has always been adequate without cranking too hard. I enjoy a hand-crank blower, and it's what I'm used to. It's too modern though. When I get around to building the stone forge I've been planning to build for over two years, I will also build leather and wood bellows
