Here we have it, advanced Fire Making Class, bring your hand drill kits, bring your sweat pants, goats provided. Why don’t I share more skills videos on here? well, I blame goats haha! Instagram threatened me for sharing a video longer than 3 minutes….IG cautioned no one will watch it if it’s over 3 minutes…. I could have speed it up, could have cut it shorter, could have added music to make it more interesting, but hey, this is real life, and most good things take longer than 3 minutes haha!! H

I survived the urban jungle and made it back home to my herd :) So grateful for these goats who keep me outside, and keep me walking close to the land. And so grateful to be able to have new experiences and taste all the flavors :) it’s just so fun to be alive and experience living, wow, it’s just so good. #herdlife #goatwalking #winterwonderland #ancestralskills #packgoats #pastoral #bushcraft #getoutside #naturebathing #forestwalks | Callie Russell Alone 7

Getting some weird weather in Montana right now, we got plenty of snow, all the buckets of water were frozen solid, the land was covered in ice and snow, it felt like deep winter was setting in. Then we got tons of rain that melted all the snow and we’ve had days of intense wind. This morning the gusts are picking up so much that trees are dropping. Luckily no goats got smooshed (yet) but the nice new pallet houses I just built them did. Their tarp shanty is down, some goat houses and pallet fee

Anytime of the year is a great time to slow down and go on a date with your soul, but there’s just something about winter…something about these 13 nights around solstice… something about mirroring what nature is doing….. its a good time to go into the depths and explore :) See you on the other side :) #soulstice #dreamtime | Callie Russell Alone 7

Happy mid way point between equinox and solstice, we enter the season of long nights and fire light, the season of wooly cloaks and bubbling pots of stew, too hungry after a day in the rain processing a deer and moving a mountain of firewood to finish writting a poem, haha! happy all hallows eve Happy Samhain #yum | Callie Russell Alone 7

I had the deep honor to gaze into the eyes of a mountain lion, and she gazed into mine. It was beautiful. ~ ~ I have so much gratitude for this experience and for everything mountain lions have taught me over the years, and continue to teach me. There was a time, long ago, when I was afraid of the large wild predators, mostly when I slept in wild places by myself, with no tent, or anything separating me from them, over the years, I have had several close encounters with mountain lions, bears, an

The Solstice Sheep Skin drop is here! 7 gorgeous Icelandic sheep are up in the shop and looking for their new homes. A magical wooly friend to spend the rest of winter with, to dream wrapped up in cozy, to sit and sew the seeds of the next season, snuggled in a wooly womb in candle light, these beauties will make any space sacred. These sheep are so amazing! Watch out cause, tomorrow is my birthday and I kinda want to keep them…so snag them before I do haha!!! I do want them to go out into world
