Birth - expectations vs reality! Often we can have an idea of what our births will be like. We’ve seen the films, read the books and written the birth plan… we have it all figured out! But occasionally labour can take on a plan of its own. I wonder what we can do to empower mums during labour when things go in a different direction, so that they don’t feel like they’ve failed, or that their ideal birth is slipping away from them. How do we keep everyone informed and prepared but not wedded to on
