Rut roh... it's that time of year again! Changes in moose behavior are a clear sign that fall, and the rut, is just around the corner. As testosterone surges and temperatures cool, bull moose are more active, spend less time eating, and become preoccupied with making bold breeding season statements through visual displays, vocalizations, and scent. During your next visit, listen for his deep voice, and watch for his "epic" battles with unsuspecting saplings. You might also notice velvet shedding
