All of South Florida, including Palm Beach County, was put under a tropical storm warning on Tuesday and county officials ordered evacuations for Zone A residents, which includes people living in mobile homes and low-lying areas prone to flooding.

Sustained tropical storm-force winds and gusts are expected to persist throughout the day as Milton moves through the state.

The powerful Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall on Florida's west coast on Wednesday. Palm Beach could see tropical storm conditions.

Maximum sustained winds are near 105 mph (165 km/h) with higher gusts. Milton is forecast to maintain hurricane intensity while crossing Florida overnight. After moving into the Atlantic, Milton is expected to gradually lose tropical characteristics and slowly weaken.

All Hurricane and Tropical Storm Warnings have been discontinued for the west coast of Florida. The Tropical Storm Warning for all of the Florida Keys and from the Palm Beach-Broward County Line southward have been discontinued. The Hurricane Watch for Martin County and Lake Okeechobee have been discontinued.
