While Chance has circled the globe in search of new perspectives, the project remains grounded in the worldview that has always defined his art: a deep, unshakable connection to Chicago and to Black culture across the diaspora.

The 17-track album boasts features from A-listers and Chicago natives, including Young Thug, Vic Mensa, Joey Badass, BJ the Chicago Kid, Jazmine Sullivan, and Jamila Woods, among others. Chance’s recently released single, “Tree,” featuring Lil Wayne and Smino, also appears on the offering.

Between 2012 and 2016, Chicago youngster Chance The Rapper went from mild mixtape-circuit renown to titanic mainstream fame. He was on Ellen all the damn time! Everyone loved him! We loved him! That came to a screeching halt in 2019,
