Microsoft delays the price announcement for the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X despite revealing more information about the handhelds at Gamescom.

Not least because the ROG Xbox Ally will also let you download apps for Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, among other digital shopfronts, and you'll theoretically be able to enjoy games across those libraries seamlessly, though I'm not sure yet whether they'll be marked with the same performance badges as native Xbox games.

IGN's tech expert Will Judd speaks to the developers of the Asus ROG Ally X about some of the more intricate details about the new Xbox handheld, the ROG Xbox Ally X, including the speed of the handheld, the triggers, and whether an OLED screen was ever considered. According to the VP, Microsoft envisions players having options like the Xbox ROG Ally for when they're on the move, and dedicated hardware when they come home that'll allow them to pick up from right where they left off.
