Powerball players, the results are in for the Wednesday, Oct. 16 lottery drawing. Here are the winning numbers.

The Powerball jackpot has gone unclaimed since Aug. 19, when a California player won the $44 million grand prize, lottery officials said. To score a jackpot in the Powerball, a player must match all five white balls and the red Powerball. The odds of scoring the jackpot prize are 1 in 292,201,338.

Two Powerball tickets sold in Illinois won $1 million each, but just missed the $409 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The tickets matched five winning numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Illinois Lottery said. Another ticket sold in Illinois matched four numbers and the Powerball to win $50,000.
