Palestinians on their way to receive aid from a distribution site in southern Gaza have come under fire for a third consecutive day, with nearly 30 people killed and dozens wounded, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health and Nasser hospital.

At least 24 Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded by Israeli fire near a food distribution site in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday, local health authorities said, in the latest bout of chaos and bloodshed to plague the aid operation.

The Palestinians were reportedly killed in the Rafah area of Gaza early Tuesday, with the IDF saying it had fired shots near an aid distribution site after individuals moved towards its forces in a way that "posed a threat to them".
