California Governor Gavin Newsom’s office posted a video on social media showing agents gathering outside the conference, drawing condemnation from the governor and Los Angeles mayor.

Border Patrol agents arrested at least one person, who a coworker said was delivering strawberries, outside of Gov. Gavin Newsom's event in Little Tokyo.

Mayor Bass said the timing of a raid no coincidence after federal agents arrested immigrants outside Gov. Newsom's congressional redistricting event in Little Tokyo.

"There's no way this was a coincidence," Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass told reporters after the governor's event.
