Firefly Aerospace will deliver five payloads to the Moon’s south pole in 2029 using its Blue Ghost lander and Elytra orbital vehicle.

Firefly Aerospace said on Tuesday it has secured a $176.7 million NASA Commercial Lunar Payload Services contract to deliver five NASA payloads to the Moon's South Pole in 2029, marking another step toward expanding private sector participation in U.

NASA on Tuesday announced that Firefly won a $176.7 million task order for the delivery of two rovers and three scientific instruments to the lunar south pole in 2029. The award comes just months after Blue Ghost became the first privately built lander to survive a landing on the rocky satellite.
