The Trump family’s business ties to the Middle East have more than tripled since the president’s first term in office, a CNN a tally of the deals has found – including a slew of new projects announced since he reclaimed the White House.

It’s not even that the Trump family has fast-growing business ties in the Middle East, ones that run deep and offer the potential of vast profits. Instead, it’s the idea that the combination of these things and more — deals that show the close ties between a family whose patriarch oversees the U.

President Donald Trump arrived in the Saudi capital of Riyadh as he began a four-day Middle East trip. Upon his arrival he met with the crown prince and U.S. tech executives. Trump will also travel to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.
