Another important influence was the pre-existing mural in Cincinnati's iconic Union Terminal train station; the location that inspired the Hall of Justice's look since 1973's animated series Super Friends - which is still prime for a film adaptation. That shooting location also threw the following curveball at Mickle and her practical set building:

Some of the initial guesses for the heroes in the Hall of Justice metahuman mural in Superman were spot on, while others were way off.

In the movie, which kicked off the theatrical arm of Gunn's DCU Chapter One earlier this month, the Justice Gang is a team of heroes funded and managed by LordTech's Maxwell Lord (Sean Gunn). The Hall of Justice is their base but, in the comics, it served as headquarters for the Justice League (AKA Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and co.).
