Gonzaga Prep senior Brogan Howell must’ve thought that the Tacoma Dome hadn’t seen enough excitement for the week. The final shot made in the state tournament this year was perhaps the most meaningful.

Brogan Howell made a fadeaway jumper from the baseline with 2.2 seconds left, lifting Gonzaga Prep to a 57-55 victory over Puyallup on Saturday night in the 4A boys title game.

Puyallup’s Drew Jones was so good in the tournament that he was named the tournament MVP, despite Gonzaga Prep winning the title.

They take a poll of the gathered media at Tacoma Dome during championship Saturday to decide the all-tournament team. It’s usually a fairly easy question to come up with the five most impactful players of the tournament.
