Most of Massachusetts is under a heat advisory through Wednesday, and forecasters are urging residents to look out for the high temperatures.
High temperatures in the state’s three largest cities are expected to clear 95 on Tuesday, with Boston and Springfield forecasted to reach 98, and Worcester’s projected high at 97. Humidity will make it feel even warmer than that, with heat indices, or “feels-like” temperatures, crossing 100 in all three cities and across much of Massachusetts.
Tuesday is off to a muggy start as New England’s heat wave continues into its second and hottest day, with record-breaking temperatures forecast to soar to a high of 96 to 97 this afternoon. The increased humidity will make it feel like 100 degrees out there.
