LONDON (Reuters) - Britain has apologised after Sky News reported the government had accidentally disclosed the email address of Bernard Arnault, one of the world's richest men, in the run up to a major investment summit, blaming the blunder on human error.

LONDON — British ministers have been left red-faced after the government accidentally shared the email address of French business tycoon Bernard Arnault. The billionaire founder of luxury giant LVMH is one of several guests of Monday’s International Investment Summit to have seen his personal email address accidentally shared with other invitees.

The Department for Business and Trade has referred itself to the data protection watchdog following the blunder. A spokesperson blamed it on an "administrative human error".
