U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will talk face-to-face to discuss what it would take to end the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not be present.

The Aug. 15 summit is a test of whether Trump can make progress on a peace deal that is acceptable to both Ukraine and Russia.
