Gaza Hundreds of Palestinians in Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank have left their homes after eviction orders from Israeli troops. The displacement orders were issued as part of a large-scale raid that has killed at least 12 people so far.

At least 10 people have been killed in the raids, and more than 40 wounded, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. Dozens have been arrested, Palestinian officials told the Wafa news agency.

At least 870 Palestinians have since been killed and more than 6,700 injured by Israeli army fire in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. A ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement took effect Jan. 19 in Gaza, suspending the Israeli war on the Palestinian enclave.

The Israeli Defense Forces’ (IDF) re-entry into the Jenin refugee camp this Tuesday as part of the Iron Wall operation has once again drawn global attention. This marks Israel’s second major incursion into the West Bank following the Summer Camps military operation on August 28, 2024.

Last week, an Israeli airstrike in the Jenin refugee camp killed three Palestinians and injured dozens, further exacerbating unrest. The latest incursion comes at a time of continued volatility in the West Bank, even as efforts to stabilize Gaza are underway.
