It’s shocking, given that Microsoft was an early investor in OpenAI. With its early Bing Chat launch, Microsoft pulled ahead of both OpenAI and Google, offering the first chatbot that could search the web. Microsoft even had early access to a more advanced GPT model than the one you could use in ChatGPT at the time. Then everything changed.
A Bloomberg report has claimed even businesses which have purchased Copilot plans are struggling to convince users to make the switch. It is not the only customer to report issues, as workers shun Microsoft Copilot in favor of ChatGPT, which is used more at home and thus become more familiar to many.

Right off the bat, ChatGPT ships with more powerful integrations and plugins. On the other hand, Microsoft Copilot ships with a cap that limits the user to 4,000 characters per chat.
One of the biggest advantages Copilot has over ChatGPT is how well it integrates with Microsoft's other apps. It works well across the Microsoft 365 suite, including in Word and PowerPoint.
The servers of Open AI's ChatGPT, Google's Gemini and Microsoft's Copilot require consume enormous energy and water for cooling.
But just like ChatGPT Plus, you have to pay a $20/month fee for access to Copilot Pro. Copilot Pro gives you access to GPT-4 and GPT-4 Turbo. It also lets you use the AI chatbot in Microsoft 365 apps.
Microsoft’s Copilot app on Android is very similar to ChatGPT, with access to chatbot capabilities, image generation through DALL-E 3, and the ability to draft text for emails and documents.
