A federal judge on Friday blocked the Trump administration from ending birthright citizenship for the children of parents who are in the U.S. illegally, issuing the third court ruling blocking the birthright order nationwide since a key Supreme Court decision in June.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has agreed with a lower court’s ruling that President Donald Trump’s executive order seeking to redefine birthright citizenship is unconstitutional.

In its ruling, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said it agreed with an earlier federal court ruling that found the order to end birthright citizenship “unconstitutional.”
