Republican Senator Mike Lee joined the MAGA chorus sharing a typo-filled letter claiming to be from Fed Chair Jerome Powell.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and conservative personality Benny Johnson were among those who shared the letter, which said Powell was set to resign at the close of business Tuesday.

Most of those who fell for the obviously bogus letter were assorted activists, influencers and media personalities, but as The New Republic noted, they were joined by Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah.

"He’s not wrong about the concept, he was just not wise in the approach he used,” Republican Thom Tillis said of the Senate Energy chair.
