Thiruvananthapuram: Mystery shrouds the theft of a vessel from the famed Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram even as the police are now stating that the case might be one of 'misplacing' the ceremonial object rather than one of theft.

The culprits, who travelled from Thiruvananthapuram to Udupi after the incident, were arrested in Haryana on Sunday.

Thiruvananthapuram: Despite tight security, a theft occurred at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple last week. Thieves stole a traditional bronze uruli (vessel) used in the temple. However, Kerala Police managed to track down and arrest the suspects in Haryana.

As the vessel went missing, the temple authorities informed the police, who later identified the accused through a detailed examination of CCTV visuals, sources said.
