Millions of customers impacted by massive AT&T privacy breaches are now eligible to file claims related to a $177 million settlement.
Millions of AT&T customers can now file claims in a legal settlement related to two data breaches— 73,000,000 to be exact. A federal judge made a ruling in the $177 million legal settlement earlier this month. There will be a final approval hearing on December 3, but customers can start the claims process now.
On June 20, US District Judge Ada E. Brown preliminarily approved a $177 million settlement of a class-action privacy lawsuit against AT&T. The suit arose from two massive data breaches revealed in 2024. The settlement administration began accepting claims from affected customers on Aug. 4.
