Rory McIlroy’s post-Masters victory walk as he greeted a long line of friends, family and supporters consisted of a long hug with an unexpected person.

Justin Rose revealed what he told Rory McIlroy after the Irish golfer beat him to secure a first-career Masters win and the elusive Grand Slam on Sunday, April 13.

Rose, who finished as runner-up in 2015 and 2017 at The Masters, is seeking his first Masters victory. He began the day shooting 5-under following a slow day on Sunday, which saw him shoot 3-over par. He opened the tournament with a 65 and 7-under on Thursday and has worked himself back into contention after the hot start and slow day Saturday.
