The Cincinnati Reds activated right-hander Hunter Greene from the 15-day injured list Wednesday. Chase Burns was originally slated to pitch the series finale, but the Reds have not yet announced what’s next for the rookie.

The Reds still trail the New York Mets for the third and final wild-card spot in the National League and have their work cut out for them.

Hunter Greene made a successful return to Cincinnati's rotation Wednesday night, pitching six sparkling innings in an 8-0 victory over Philadelphia. Greene allowed three hits in his first major league start in more than two months.
