The hemlock woolly adelgid has spread to the Port Douglas area on Lake Champlain, the northernmost location it's been found.

A flood watch begins around 2 p.m. Thursday and continues into Friday. Forecasters say rainfall totals could reach up to 5 inches in some areas.
