The National Weather Service has issued another Heat Advisory through 8 p.m. on Wednesday for most of Massachusetts.

A Heat Advisory is in effect until Wednesday in western Massachusetts, and many communities in the area are opening cooling centers to provide those in need.

A heat advisory is back for the Metroplex, as well as counties to the North and East. The alert, issued by the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, will start at noon Monday and continue through 7 p.m. Tuesday. It warns of heat index values up to 107 degrees, which increases the risk of heat-related illnesses.

A heat advisory goes into effect Monday afternoon and remains in effect until Tuesday night.

A heat advisory will be in effect Monday and possibly Tuesday as temperatures and humidity climb across the Capital Region and Hudson Valley.
