Ford Motor Co. reported record revenue in the second quarter of $50.2 billion as its employee pricing program helped drive sales, and its commercial fleet arm, Ford Pro, delivered strong profit margins.

The Dearborn automaker now expects the import taxes will affect adjusted operating profit by $2 billion this year.

The automaker makes around 80 percent of its cars in the US, but costs on imported parts are also an issue for the brand, which will lead to Ford's projected $2 billion hit this year from tariffs.
