For Reese, the disappointment of landing in ninth place was compounded by the fact she missed Chicago's final six games because of a wrist injury. The Sky went 1-5 during that stretch, and their 89-58 blowout at the hands of Washington was particularly costly.

Given that Chicago Sky superstar forward Angel Reese is a generationally talented rebounder (which is proven by her leading the WNBA in rebounds per game during her rookie 2024 campaign), it may be hard for many to believe that she actually used to be a guard earlier in her career.

The Chicago Sky will need Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith to answer some big questions if they're going to have a successful season.
