The Milwaukee Brewers entered Friday's contest against the Washington Nationals in first place in the National League Central. Alas, the Brewers will have to continue to hold off the Chicago Cubs without one of their most talented players,

The Brewers placed Jackson Chourio on the IL the day prior, Aug. 1, with another hamstring strain. Chourio received a PRP injection and will resume physical rehab Aug. 4 in Milwaukee. His timetable to return is unknown but could be a month or more, manager Pat Murphy said.

The news on Jackson Chourio isn't getting any better. Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy spoke about his star 21-year-old outfielder before his team's series opener at Nationals Park on August 1, where Chourio was notably absent as he landed on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring.
