Detectives say that the two victims were shot when they checked on their car, parked in an alley in the 8000 block of S. Hooper Avenue, after hearing its alarm blaring.

SOUTH LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A late night shooting in South Los Angeles left a woman dead and a good Samaritan injured. It happened around 10:30 p.m. outside an apartment complex on St. Andrews Place. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man and a woman were outside the complex "having a verbal dispute."
