Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can now listen to the soundtrack to Super Mario Kart through the Nintendo Music app.

Interestingly, Mario Kart 9 has some different character designs for some of the drivers. The biggest one we spotted is the new Donkey Kong look. It resembles his look from Super Mario Kart on the Super Nintendo, which is an interesting decision. Will Nintendo perhaps have different skins for characters?

These rumored games don't sound surprising. After all, it wouldn't be a Nintendo console without a new 3D Mario platformer. Super Mario Odyssey launched with the original Switch and remains one of the best Mario games on that console (that isn't an RPG remaster). Hopefully, something as fun as Odyssey is in the works at Nintendo.

Online mode was first introduced in Mario Kart Wii, but Mario Kart 8 didn't make many changes to its formula. It allows 12 players to join in online matchmaking, but aside from that, there's not a lot to it to make the online mode more interesting than racing against CPU opponents.
