Jeremy Swayman will not play in Thursday's game against the Ottawa Senators due to an upper-body injury suffered the day before.
Trent Frederic will return to the Bruins lineup after missing two games with an illness. Sacco said there could be other game-time lineup changes. After Wednesday’s loss at New Jersey, Sacco said Swayman was “dealing with something minor” after he replaced him with Joonas Korpisalo in the third period.

Jeremy Swayman, whom B’s coach Joe Sacco pulled after two periods on Wednesday in New Jersey partly because he was “dealing with something minor,” was not available for Thursday’s pivotal game against the Ottawa Senators and Michael DiPietro was recalled from Providence.
One of Swayman’s most notable characteristics is his complete and utter confidence, the surety he has in himself and his place in hockey. It’s something that has been the subject of countless conversations, including those he’s had with defenseman Brandon Carlo, a sounding board on the team.
Swayman stopped 25 out of 29 Devils shots he faced on the night. The Bruins were outmatched entirely by the Devils at that point of the contest, but Swayman did his best to keep the Original Six club in it. He made several big stops, but the Bruins could not stop the Devils' offense.
