BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after a shooting left one person dead. According to the police, officers responded to a shooting in the 6900 block of Airline Highway, near Prescott Road on Monday afternoon. Police confirmed one person was pronounced dead.
The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the person who was shot and killed at McDonald’s, 6910 Airline Highway on Monday, Jan. 20.
Around 2:18 a.m. Friday, a Baton Rouge Police Department officer saw a minor traffic violation and initiated a stop. As the officer approached the vehicle, a single gunshot was heard.
