Tropical atmospheric moisture will surge into Central Texas on Friday and Saturday as a stormy disturbance moves into South Texas.

A tropical disturbance along the Gulf could develop into a depression before moving into South Texas and northeastern Mexico Friday evening. Any development into a depression would likely be "short-lived," the National Weather Service said.

Louisiana and other northern portions of the Gulf Coast aren't expected to see any effects from the system or any other tropical activity for the next few days.
