Center took an elbow to the face from Kraken defenseman Adam Larsson in the second period and essentially missed the rest of the game.

In the shootout, Mats Zuccarello put Minnesota up 1-0 but the Kraken responded with back-to-back shootout goals against Marc-Andre Fleury, the second coming from Jordan Eberle, who also had two goals in regulation. Kirill Kaprizov hit the post on his shootout attempt and Matt Boldy missed to end the game.
