AMD launched the Ryzen AI Pro 300 family of processors on Thursday, the business version of the Ryzen AI 300 processors it launched earlier this year.

AMD's cadence in laptop processors has traditionally followed a specific playbook: new Ryzen parts come out, and then a few months later, the PRO versions of those parts hit the market for enterprise commercial client devices.

Intel isn’t the only chipmakers with new silicon today: AMD has announced its Ryzen AI PRO 300 series processors, which will power commercial mobile AI PCs.

The Ryzen AI Pro 300 series is part of AMD’s third generation of processors for AI-accelerated laptops, and the chips will feature a Zen 5 CPU with up to 12 cores and a 5.1GHz maximum boost frequency, an RDNA 3.5 GPU with up to 16 compute units and an XDNA 2 neural processing unit (NPU) with 50 to 55 trillion operations per second (TOPS).
