At least 10 people in the U.S. were hospitalized with listeria infections linked to ready-to-eat foods, federal officials said.

Various ready-to-eat foods, including sandwiches and pastas, sold and distributed in Washington have been recalled in a listeria outbreak linked to Fresh & Ready Foods of San Fernando, California.

Symptoms can be mild and include fever, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. More serious illness can include headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions.
