Flyers fans, Cup-winning alumni and Gini Parent were among those who spoke at Friday's powerful celebration of life for Bernie Parent.

The Hall of Fame goalie, who backstopped the Orange and Black to consecutive Stanley Cup championships in 1974 and 1975, was honored on Friday inside the Xfinity Mobile Arena.

"The world will remember Bernie Parent as a Hall of Fame hockey player, a Stanley Cup champion," said Scott Tharp, president of Ed Snider Youth Hockey and Education, an organization Parent was heavily involved with. "But those who remember him well will remember Bernie as a Hall of Fame human being, a champion of life."

Bernie Parent loved people and the Flyers. That was abundantly evident at the celebration of life for the iconic goaltender.

A flock of Flyers fans descended upon Xfinity Mobile Arena on Friday to pay tribute to the legendary goaltender who guided the franchise to a pair of back-to-back Stanley Cup titles.
