After a plane crashed into a Murphy Canyon neighborhood in San Diego in late May, the Emergency Action Group (EAG) and the U.S. Navy are providing long-term support to military families affected by the incident.

The aircraft went down for unknown reasons about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, shortly after taking off from San Diego International Airport en route to Phoenix, the Federal Aviation Administration reported.

The crash comes weeks after a small Cessna crashed into a San Diego neighborhood in foggy weather and killed six people.
