A 911 caller reported the aircraft had crashed near the intersection of Highway 23 and 540th Street in Granite Falls on Monday around 5:32 p.m.

GRANITE FALLS, MN (KELO.com) — A jet trainer crashed near Granite Falls, Minnesota earlier this week while on its way from Watertown to Wisconsin. A California man died and a Texas man was injured. Officials say the plane experienced engine issues before striking power lines while approaching the Granite Falls Airport late Monday afternoon.

Officials said that a plane was "experiencing engine trouble" shortly after 5:30 p.m. when it went down in Granite Falls.
