California Gov. Gavin Newsom hit back at the Trump administration after federal officials were spotted outside of his press conference in downtown Los Angeles. U.S. Border Patrol agents appeared outside of the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles on Thursday as California Gov. Gavin Newsom and other state and local leaders held a rally to unveil a proposed redistricting plan that Democratic lawmakers hope to put before voters in a special election.

As California Gov. Gavin Newsom was speaking Thursday, federal agents appeared to be conducting an immigration enforcement operation outside of the venue.
