Denis Villeneuve reveals to Deadline that he will go back behind the camera “Faster Than I Think” to make the third ‘Dune’ Universe movie.

While Villeneuve has been somewhat cryptic about Dune 3, he recently offered a much anticipated peek behind the curtain. While chatting with Deadline about the franchise, he confirmed he was in the "writing zone", and spoke about mirroring the novel Messiah for its film adaptation. In the Arrival filmmaker's words:

Even though he initially said he would be taking a break from the franchise after releasing 'Dune: Part Two' in March, director Denis Villeneuve has now revealed he will likely "go back behind the camera faster than [he] thinks" to make the third film in the sci-fi series.
