American tennis star Coco Gauff stormed to the semi-finals of the Wuhan Open on Friday with a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Magda Linette, her 50th WTA main draw win of the year.

Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka will meet in the semifinals of the Wuhan Open after breezing through their respective quarterfinal matchups on Friday.

When Gauff and Sabalenka meet in Wuhan, the American will try to push her winning run to 10 matches while the Belarusian will aim to stay undefeated at the Chinese tournament. In the past, the 26-year-old won back-to-back Wuhan titles in 2018 and 2019.

The quarterfinal face-off between Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff on October 12, 2024, is sure to give the tournament quite a spark. Both the ladies have been in extraordinary shape: unstoppable in their winning streaks and a couple of titles each taken recently.
