Federal investigators on Friday offered an update on the NTSB probe into why a Cessna 550 crashed in Murphy Canyon, killing all aboard.
The pilot of the private jet that crashed early Thursday morning in Tierrasanta, killing all six people on board and injuring eight people on the ground, did not declare an emergency or call in any type of mechanical issue with the plane before it clipped a power line and slammed into a residential street, federal authorities said Friday.
Safety Board said Friday that officials will work over the next year to determine what caused the Cessna 550 Citation to crash just before 4 a.m. local time Thursday.
The investigation will continue Friday into why a Cessna 550 plunged into a Murphy Canyon neighborhood, killing all six aboard the plane.
