When it comes to champion vs. champion matches, there’s nothing quite like them. So as WWE gears up for Crown Jewel weekend, it got us thinking — what are the greatest champ vs. champ matches in history?

As we transition into the modern era of WWE’s phases, the lineage becomes slightly muddled. There are various opinions on when each era begins, ends, or if, following the Reality era, there is a single continuous era.

Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer added another feather to her cap when she defeated WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton to be crowned the 2025 Women's Crown Jewel Champion. While the decision was the right one, the match was rather short and therefore underwhelming.

Wrestling for WWE is a completely different experience for IYO SKY than the matches she had in Japan. SKY is returning to her home country this month for two WWE house shows in Tokyo on October 17-18. She’ll then compete for Japanese women’s promotion Marigold on October 26, taking on Mayu Iwatani.
