Texas came into Saturday’s Red River Rivalry as 16.5-point favorites. After a slow first quarter, the Longhorns played like favorites and dominated in the 34-3 win over Oklahoma at the Cotton Bowl. Texas took control of the game near the end of the second quarter.

It’s easy to forget in the wake of OU’s 34-3 beatdown at the hands of Texas on Saturday in the Cotton Bowl. With just more than three minutes remaining in the first half, the Sooners’ defense had a chance to force yet another Longhorns punt and give the offense a chance to take the lead going into the break.
